Dr. Circe Henestrosa, Mexican fashion curator and Head of the School of Fashion at LASALLE College of the Arts, joins Chennie Huang, who served as President of the Board of Directors at Artists Talk on Art (2024–25) and now works independently as a cultural and communications advisor, to discuss her curatorial practice and the making of Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving.

Together they explore the discovery of Frida Kahlo’s personal archive—locked away for fifty years after the artist’s death—and how Kahlo’s fashion, identity, disability, and politics shaped her art and enduring legacy.

The program concludes with her interview with Dr. Henestrosa, reflecting on the curator’s work, career, and vision for fashion as cultural dialogue. Curatorial collaboration by Hannah Greisen.
